Signature Aftercare Ltd is a supported accommodation provider for young people aged 16–18. We are registered in England and Wales under Company Registration Number 12019060, with our registered office at 1st Floor Cloister House, Riverside, New Bailey Street, Salford, Manchester, M3 5FS.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZB147030.

We are also registered with Ofsted (Unique Reference Number: 2762554) as a provider of regulated services for children and young people

3. What Personal Data We Collect

3.1 Referrers and Professionals

When a Local Authority, social worker or other professional contacts us, we may collect:

  • Full name and job title
  • Organisation name and address
  • Email address and telephone number
  • Details of the young person being referred (see below)

3.2 Young People

In order to provide our services, we may collect:

  • Name and date of birth
  • Contact details
  • Care history and placement background
  • Education, training or employment status
  • Health and wellbeing information (where relevant to support)
  • Risk assessments and support plans
  • Financial information (where relevant to independence planning)

3.3 Website Visitors

When you visit our website, we may collect:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Information submitted through our contact or referral forms

4. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To assess and process referrals for supported accommodation
  • To deliver personalised support services to young people
  • To communicate with Local Authorities, housing partners and referral agencies
  • To meet our statutory and regulatory obligations under Ofsted and UK law
  • To maintain safeguarding records as required
  • To improve our services and website

5. Lawful Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:

  • Contractual necessity – to fulfil our agreements with Local Authorities and housing partners
  • Legal obligation – to comply with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding duties and statutory requirements
  • Legitimate interests – to operate and improve our business and services
  • Consent – where you have given specific consent (e.g. newsletter sign-up or contact form)

Where we process special category data (such as health information), we do so under Article 9(2)(b) UK GDPR (employment/social protection obligations) or with explicit consent.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Referral and placement records: 7 years after the young person’s 18th birthday, or 7 years after the end of placement, whichever is longer
  • General correspondence: 3 years
  • Website enquiry data: 2 years
  • Financial records: 7 years (HMRC requirements)

7. Who We Share Your Data With

We may share personal data with:

  • Local Authorities and statutory agencies involved in a young person’s care
  • Ofsted (where required for regulatory compliance)
  • Our housing and accommodation partners
  • Healthcare providers, schools or training providers (with appropriate consent or legal basis)
  • IT service providers and cloud storage platforms (subject to data processing agreements)

We do not sell personal data to third parties. Any third parties we share data with are required to handle it in compliance with UK GDPR.

8. International Transfers

We do not routinely transfer personal data outside the UK. Where any transfer does occur, it will be subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with UK GDPR.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
