Who We Are
Signature Aftercare is a supported accommodation provider working with young people who are preparing to leave care and take their next step into adulthood. Our role is to create a stable, structured environment where each young person can develop the confidence, skills, and independence required to live successfully on their own.
We understand that leaving care is not just a change in living situation, it is a major life transition. Many young people entering our service have experienced instability, disruption, or challenges that make this transition more complex. Our responsibility is to provide the right level of support, guidance, and structure so that this transition is safe, gradual, and sustainable.
Our service is built around a simple but important principle: young people should not just be placed into independence, they should be prepared for it.
Sector Leadership & Continuous Improvement
As the supported accommodation sector continues to evolve, Signature Aftercare remains committed not only to delivering high-quality services for young people, but also to contributing positively to wider sector standards and operational development.
Following our Ofsted Outstanding recognition, we are exploring opportunities to support fellow leaving care and supported accommodation providers through operational guidance, quality standards support and sector-informed consultancy.
Our focus remains grounded in the belief that stronger systems, clearer structures and better environments contribute to improved outcomes for young people across the sector.
Our purpose is to bridge the gap between care and independent living.
We exist to ensure that young people leaving care are not placed into situations they are not ready for. Instead, we provide a step-by-step pathway that allows them to build essential life skills, develop resilience, and take increasing responsibility for their own lives.
By doing this, we support not only the individual young person but also the wider objectives of local authorities, reducing risk, improving outcomes, and supporting long-term independence.
Our approach is structured, person-centred, and outcome-focused.
We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Every young person entering our service has different needs, experiences, and goals. For this reason, we tailor support to the individual while maintaining a clear framework that promotes accountability, development, and independence.
Young people are encouraged to:
- Take ownership of their decisions
- Build daily routines
- Develop practical life skills
- Engage with education, employment, or training
- Prepare for independent living
At the same time, our staff provide consistent guidance, supervision, and support to ensure safety and stability at every stage.
This balance between support and responsibility is what allows young people to grow without becoming dependent on the service.
The environment we create is just as important as the support we provide.
Our accommodation includes:
- Shared group living environments
- Semi-independent and independent living options
- Structured support within each setting
This progression allows young people to move gradually from supported living into full independence.
Everything we do is guided by a clear set of values:
Safety & Stability
Every young person must feel physically and emotionally secure.
Respect & Inclusion
Each individual is valued, regardless of background or experience.
Responsibility & Growth
Young people are supported to take ownership of their actions and future.
Independence & Empowerment
We prepare young people to live confidently and independently.
Working With Partners
We work closely with local authorities, placement teams, and housing partners to ensure that every placement is appropriate, well-supported, and aligned with long-term outcomes.
Our service is designed to integrate into the wider care and housing system, supporting:
- Placement stability
- Transition planning
- Move-on accommodation pathways
- Long-term independence
We recognise that successful outcomes are built through collaboration, and we aim to be a reliable and professional partner within that ecosystem.
Our Vision
Our vision is to become a trusted provider of supported and independent living services, known for delivering consistent outcomes, maintaining high standards, and supporting young people to achieve lasting independence.
We aim to grow in a way that strengthens our impact, expands our partnerships, and continues to improve the quality of support we provide.
